Privacy Policy

Effective September 9, 2026. This policy describes what the Suffolk County High School Hockey League (“SCHSHL”, “the league”) collects through schshl.org and how it is used. It is written for families because many people featured on the site are under 18.

What we collect

  • Registration. Player and draft registration is handled by JotForm on the league’s behalf. Those forms may collect player name, date of birth, school, USA Hockey number, parent or guardian details, and payment information. The league receives form responses; registration information and payments are not submitted through schshl.org.
  • Contact form. The site sends your name, email address, subject and message to the league office by email.
  • Game information. Scores, statistics and rosters are published from the league’s official records and may include player names and jersey numbers.
  • Basic server records. The web host may retain technical request records, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time, to operate and protect the site.

Photos and video

Games are streamed and recorded by LI Sports Network under agreement with the league. Broadcasts and still images may show players, coaches and spectators. A preview image may be requested from YouTube when a game or video page loads. The full YouTube player is loaded only after you choose to play a broadcast. YouTube then receives information about that visit under its own privacy terms.

How we use information

The league uses information to handle eligibility, rostering, scheduling, communication with families and clubs, site security, and publication of league results. The league does not sell personal information.

Services outside this site

The site links to services operated by JotForm, USA Hockey, NYSAHA, GameSheet, YouTube, Google Maps, LI Sports Network and LIHockey.com. Information you submit or view on those services is governed by their policies.

Your choices

To request a correction or removal, or to ask what the league holds about your player, use the contact page. A parent or guardian may make a request for a minor.

Security

The site uses HTTPS. Registration payments do not pass through the league website.
